Circa 1959 Green Groma Kolibri Typewriter with Case and Gray Keys.

Circa 1959 Green Groma Kolibri Typewriter with Case and Gray Keys.
Stunning vintage Groma Kolibri typewriter with QWERTY keyboard, in gorgeous condition and a beautiful color combination. Green with gray keys. Some paint chips that are common with these machines. Plus a chip on the other side by the logo (see pictures).
It comes with the original leatherette case. This is the higher-end case.
Groma Kolibris are particularly rare in qwerty keyboard layout. Only an few were exported to the US. Most are converted.
This is 10 character per inch typeface.
The most outrageously flat and conversationally rich typewriter ever made. See the film The Lives of Others if you can stomach the heartache.
With new ribbon. Original and one plastic matching.
This is an excellent writing machine as well as an eye catcher, to be sure.
SOFT PLATEN.
Really quick and inspiring action.
No paint cracking, checking.
This one is special because:
Soft platen.
Nice paint condition
US QWERTY
Rare color combo (most are silver / gray)
It is marked down slightly due to cosmetic wear, wear on one key, and a few paint chips.
Quick action for one of these. All functions tested and repaired as needed.
A great chance to get a rare historical beauty in a lovely rare color.
10 Character Per Inch typeface.
