Get a fresh inky new typewriter ribbon every 3 months, to keep the inspiration fresh and the type black.

These come in black / red and black. They are sealed in a package within the box so will store well.

Universal plastic spool means they will fit most machines.

You can wind them onto your original spools or install the plastic ones.

The spool types may vary slightly, vintage metal and plastic, depending on availability and selection.

There are a few metal subscriptions that can’t fulfill due to rarity of spools. Older 30’s Remingtons, Lettera 22 and 32, Groma Kolibri, Hermes Baby Metal (though the plastic ones work). All of these you can order our universal ribbon and rewind onto your original spools. They are heavy duty steel and will last forever.

I use this service as a reminder to write. Make it your goal to use up the ribbon before the next one comes, and build the sheets to your dream.

There is not really a performance difference in terms of spools. The metal ones are just cooler and some prefer them.

The cotton ribbons provide a darker, more vintage-looking imprint. Nylon been the standard since the 70’s.
