It took me forever to find one that was up to par with our machines.
I've tried many of the contemporary ones, and none of them matched the performance of a thick vintage one I had… nicknamed ‘The Chubby’.
This will decrease sound, protect the work surface, and reduce slippage. Because it is so thick, it actually reduces the sound a lot. You will still hear the familiar and lovely clack of the typewriter… without the additional pounding of the surface echo.
